"JazzWorks Presents"
The “JazzWorks Presents” Concert & Performance Workshop Series, created in 2018, features award-winning Canadian and international jazz artists and educators playing alongside local and regional jazz musicians. This series offers adult amateur musicians, jazz lovers and students in the Outaouais the opportunity to experience high-calibre, live jazz performances. Our concerts are held in an intimate “jazz club” atmosphere at Festival Japan Restaurant, where the audience can feel the pulse of the performance up close.
Performance Workshops, led by our featured artists and offered in conjunction with our concerts, allow student and Community jazz musicians the opportunity for up-close, personal interaction with top-notch jazz musician-educators. Presented in Masterclass style, participants are encouraged to bring their instrument and perform with the visiting jazz artists, who will give them real-time feedback to help them hone their skills. Our artist-educators are carefully chosen for not only their performance skills, but also their ability to teach in a nurturing and professional way. The ”JazzWorks Presents” Concert & Performance Workshop Series is funded by the Government of Canada. Keep an eye out for upcoming performances and workshops on our News and social media pages. Scroll down to see an archive of our past concerts. Tickets for concerts and workshops can be purchased in advance on Eventbrite.ca (search "JazzWorks"). |
