JazzWorks is an Ottawa-based Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of jazz musicianship in players of all ages. To achieve its mandate and goals, JazzWorks carries out a wide range of activities including a summer Jazz Camp, monthly jam sessions and vocal open mics, as well as "JazzWorks Presents" concerts throughout the year. To keep you informed, JazzWorks maintains a calendar of jazz events and publishes a weekly newsletter called Ottawa Jazz Happenings.

JazzWorks Presents Martin Listabarth in concert Oct. 29

Martin Listabarth wowed the audience at Centretown United Church on October 29 with several of his compositions, accompanied by personal narratives of their development.  With the first half of the concert a solo piano performance and the second half welcoming to the stage Adrian Vedady on bass and Jim Doxas on drums, Martin's compositions were delivered expertly and it was clear that both the audience and musicians were enjoying themselves.  The concert was followed by a reception hosted by the Austrian Cultural Forum.  JazzWorks would like to thank Lisa Butzenlechner, Melanie Voegel and Daniel Corts of the Austrian Embassy for their collaboration in this event.  ​
