About our jam sessions
JazzWorks Jam Sessions have been a staple of the Ottawa jazz community for 30 years. Held once a month on the third Thursday at Festival Japan Restaurant, this event is a must for anyone wanting to engage in the local jazz scene in Ottawa. From amateur and aspiring musicians to professionals, this jam has it all!
The evening starts off with a 45-minute set by a different local band every month, and then the mic is open to musicians and vocalists. All are welcome - participants and audience members. You won't find a better deal for a fun night out with music!
Cover is $10 General Admission and $5 for Friends of JazzWorks.
If it's the first time you're coming to ajam, download our handy information sheets on Jam Etiquette and Singing at a Jam, found below.
