JazzWorks Jazz Camp Terms and Conditions

Combo Placement: JazzWorks endeavours to provide the optimal opportunity for all participants to learn and develop their jazz and creative skills with special emphasis on the small combo experience. Due to variations in instrumentation from year to year, we cannot guarantee that each registrant will be the only player of their instrument in the combo to which they are assigned.

Lodging: CAMMAC has a limited number of indoor rooms – single and shared – and a campsite. Register early for the best chances of getting the accommodation type you prefer.

Accommodations: JazzWorks makes every effort to accommodate medical conditions or special requirements. Each participant is given the opportunity to communicate such requirements through a questionnaire that will be sent upon registration. For any questions regarding health and safety, please contact the Administrator.

Payment Options:
• Full payment: 100% of tuition payment is due at the time of registration
• Split payments (for registrations before May 1):
  1. 50% of tuition payment is due at the time of registration
  2. 50% is due June 1 (contact the Administrator for this option)
• For alternative ways to pay, please contact the Administrator.

Refund/Cancelation Policy:
• Before June 1: withdrawals reimbursed minus a $125 admin charge
• June 1-July 1: withdrawals reimbursed at 50%
• After July 1: no refund
• Deferrals: tuition may be deferred for one year minus a $150 admin charge and with the expectation that the cost difference will be paid the following year
• Friendship fees are non-refundable

COVID Policy:
JazzWorks will adopt the CAMMAC Covid protocols for jazz camp. We also encourage singers to bring their own microphones.

JazzWorks reserves the right to:
1. Set firm deadlines for the receipt of applications and payment. The submission of an application and payment, however, does not by itself guarantee a place in Jazz Camp.
2. Pre-screen or audition applicants using a professionally appropriate process, i.e., demo recording, questionnaire, live performance, etc. Paramount criteria would be some musical ability, potential contribution to the planned program, compatibility of the applicant’s interests with the aims of the JazzWorks program and interest in a common group experience.
3. Determine the level of difficulty at which an applicant would be placed in the program.
4. Accept or reject applicants (regardless of the submission of applications by deadline) based on the screening process and the need to balance the numbers and groupings of applicants appropriate to the needs of the program being offered.
