Tim Murray, back where he belongs
His many friends in the JazzWorks community will be relieved to know that Tim Murray is home and recovering. In fact, when I visited him in Perth a few days ago, he was not only at home and recovering but playing the piano.
He had just come home from a brief stay at Perth Hospital. Only two weeks before that, Tim had been rushed by ambulance from the JazzWorks camp at CAMMAC to Lachute hospital. From there, he was moved quickly to hospital in Montreal, where he stayed for about 10 days, before returning to Perth.
More updates as they occur. Thankfully, we’ll be hearing at lot more of that piano before long.

About this blog
Tune Up won't be a calendar of events — Ottawa Jazz Happenings takes care of that. But it will discuss events and issues of interest to the JazzWorks community. Journalist, author, trumpet player and a jazz camper since 1999, Charley Gordon is a former vice-president of JazzWorks.
